Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Rainbow TroutThis property is “request to book”. See below for more details. Battle Creek is a hidden gem within striking distance from Steamboat Springs Colorado. Located on the Western slope of the Continental Divide anglers will have unfettered access to nearly five miles of river. This location is about 1 1/2 hours north of Steamboat on dirt roads through the national forest. It’s very remote and exceptionally beautiful. Upon arrival, anglers will be taken aback by the magnificent beauty surrounding this property, sprawling and uninterrupted views abound. Accessing the river is fairly easy for most anglers, with multiple access points ranging from a gradual walk-in to an occasional steep bank one should not have difficulties finding their way to the river. Once in the river anglers will encounter miles of endless opportunities. Anglers should think about these opportunities similarly to a Vegas Casino buffet, I will have a little cut bank please, oh how about long-runs, no some pocket water, how about a nice deep hole, and don’t forget the dessert. Anglers will encounter multiple trout species throughout the property that range in size from 8” to 16”. Anglers may also encounter fish much larger than that. Come prepared with no less than an 8’6” 4wt and up to a 9’ 6wt. The only limiting factor to this property is there is only so much time in the day. Thankfully the property allows for dispersed camping. Although we typically get your booking approved within a few hours, please allow up to 1 business day for booking confirmations. Due to livestock and other concerns, dogs and other pets are NOT permitted on this property. Camping prices are per vehicle/per day. Camping is dispersed camping. There are quite a few campsites on this property that can hold a tent, van or overland vehicle, no large rigs. Campfires are not allowed. Propane fires only. Request to book: When you select your dates and hit the “book now” button you are sending in a request to book, please note this is not a confirmed booking. If it is available, we will accept your booking/payment and send a confirmation email. If it is not available, we will inform you via email.

5 out of 5 stars
Absolutely Beautiful free flowing mountain stream in Wyoming I fished the lower section in the morning plenty of fish in the pools and along banks all rainbows 6" to 10" The ranch is easily accessed and you can park and walk short distance to river I fished for over 8 hours and maybe covered 1/2 of the available area and landed fish at each stop. The camping areas marked on the map looked great for an overnight trip I only made it to the 4 out of 5 Camping/parking spots the 5th was across a meadow that was a little to muddy for me. I managed to land 4 Bows over 18 hiding in deep pools in the upper section. Caught most fish on dropper set up (Stimulator or Chubby with a Perdigon Nymph) well over 20 fish day I will be back to do some camping and great small stream fishing
