Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow TroutThe Clear Fork of Muddy Creek is a perennial, spring-fed stream located just outside Casper, Wyoming. Anglers can immerse themselves in a meandering 1-mile stretch that creates a sense of being miles away from civilization. The creek offers the opportunity to target Brown Trout, Brook Trout, and Rainbows in its pristine waters, with numerous pools and riffles to explore. Expect some sections of the creek to feature steeper banks, but don’t overlook the elevated platform, providing a unique opportunity to target unsuspecting fish. The creek is 8-10 feet wide, and its diverse creek bed adds to the captivating fishing experience. Keep an eye out for hiding places, as hungry fish abound. Anglers should come prepared with different rods based on weather conditions; for windy days, an 8’6″ 4wt or a 9′ 5wt is recommended, while calm weather is ideal for targeting fish with a 3wt in varying lengths. It’s important to note that the landowner is committed to enhancing the habitat through additional restoration efforts scheduled for the spring of 2024.
