Notes from the landowner

Enjoy 0.6 miles of the Lemhi River just outside of Salmon, Idaho. This property offers a peaceful riverfront retreat just a mile outside of Salmon, Idaho. Enjoy the rural feel with easy access to town. The Lemhi River has impressive rainbow trout, often stretching to 16 inches or more. Enjoy fly fishing with various patterns, including dry flies, nymphs, and streamers. In early spring, expect exciting hatches of midges and mayflies, while summer brings mayfly and caddis hatches. Sometimes, you may even spot sea-run steelhead and salmon from the Upper Salmon River, depending on water conditions. Getting to the river is easy with a well-marked path, and you’ll find overhanging trees and bushes along the banks. The fishing spots are easy to spot, and while river crossings might be a bit challenging, they’re usually shallow. The river’s water clarity can vary due to nearby agriculture, and you’ll find rocky bends with aquatic plants along the way. Don’t forget to look around you and enjoy the wildlife, anglers may find deer, elk, and moose in the area. Idaho stream access law allows navigating the river up to the high water mark. Seeing other anglers is unlikely but they may pop up once in a blue moon, although there is not much access for them to get there. Although we typically get your booking approved within a few hours, please allow up to 1 business day for booking confirmations. Camping prices are per vehicle/per day. There are 2 campsites to choose from both fairly flat. Tent and car camping are going to be the best option, the property does have residents nearby so being respectful and not impacting the neighbors is going to be required. Camping is dispersed camping. please practice “leave no trace” principles and pack out all trash. You will need to supply your own water. Propane fires are allowed. No wood fires. ***No signs are placed on this property at this time, you will need to leverage/download the GPS coordinates sent to you on the map. We love the TroutRoutes App.

Youth between the ages of 13 and 17 are 50% off for all fishing and small game when you reserve on the Infinite Outdoors app. However, kids 13-17 will need to have an Infinite Outdoors Membership. Youth 12 and under are free and do not need a membership but must follow all property rules.

We can't guarantee you'll catch fish every time—fishing always comes with a bit of unpredictability due to factors like weather and fish behavior. However, we do everything we can to boost your chances! We offer information on local fly shops so you can get the best tips and gear recommendations. As for the size of the fish, it really depends on where you're fishing. We aim to connect you with spots where you have a good shot at landing some great catches, but it's all part of the Do-It-Yourself fly fishing adventure!
